Question: With the lingering, severe drought in places like the Texas Panhandle and western Kansas, is the United States in for another Dust Bowl?

Answer: In this article from CropQuest in early July, Clay Robinson (a.k.a. Dr. Dirt) gives his take on why the United States is unlikely to experience another 1930s-style Dust Bowl in the future.

However, he also says that the current High Plains drought is proving to be harsher and more intense than droughts of the past, raising questions about how the region will eventually recover from it.
