Question: How much soil is there on Earth to support the needs of people for food, clothing, fuel, and shelter?

  1. Why are some soils older than others? And why is it possible to talk of the oldest soils on Earth? I thought the continents were once all one land mass that broke apart.

    Maybe what I’m really asking is: How is it possible that some soils are older than others?
